Tribute to The Dubliners A Night of Irish Music and Dance
The Stompers have been playing Irish music throughout Europe for the last 25 years, following in the footsteps of The Dubliners: legendary exponents of Irish folk song. With their new show, "Tribute to The Dubliners," they pay homage to their heroes in a fun musical trip to Dublin, not only the capital of Ireland but also of Pubs and Pints!
During the concert you can expect classic Irish pub favorites such as Dicey Reilly, I’ll Tell Me Ma, The Wild Rover or Whiskey in the Jar mixed with animated Irish instrumentals - the famous jigs, polkas and reels. In between you will hear the stories behind the songs along with anecdotes from Dublin life as told by Dubliners Brian and Dara.
There will be a selection of traditional Irish dances where Polina and Valeria de Nuala Irish Dancers will demonstrate their skill in both soft and hardshoe dancing, the latter made world famous by the show Riverdance.
“Tribute to The Dubliners” is an unforgettable evening of stories, songs and dances; a walk through Dublin a century ago - its houses and pubs, its people and its music - in the company of Irish group The Stompers: just heirs to a tradition initiated more than half a century ago by The Dubliners themselves.
